Exploring the Napoleonic War Diary of Rifleman William Green from the 95th Foot

Looking through some old papers of my grandfathers I have come across some documents relating to the #Napoleonic War diary of William Green - Rifleman of the 95th Foot. He lived to a ripe old age of 96 and died of old age in #Leicestershire.

The original version of the book was published in 1975, and my grandfather was contacted afterwards by Mel Siddons, a military historian and medal collector who had discovered William Green’s medals. A commemoration service was later planned in 2002 and it gave the impetus to update and republish a second edition.
